I started as a kid to play Andean flutes along with the musicians of Los Incas (before I was part of the group).
I remember an improvised lesson of Sikus with Julio Arguedas on a train while I accompanied them on a tour in France.
Then the master Jorge Cumbo influenced me a lot with the Quena, to the point that today the experts notice its influence in my playing style. I owe him not only his sound, but also his freedom of improvisation.
I play Quenas (G, A), Quenacho (E), Pusi pia (A), Sikus (E) Antaras (E, A, G)
