After decades of musical journeys across deserts and oceans, Olivier takes us on a new voyage—intimate, phantasmagorical, and symbolic.

“I was composing this music during a trip to the Philippines in 2017 when my sisters called to tell me to return urgently to Paris, to be by my mother’s side as she prepared for her final departure. A few years later, I began this film project with director Abeer Abdullah in Dubai. At the time, I was working on the show La Perle, and we envisioned creating a story that portrayed me moving between the intimacy of my home and my work in the world of circus.
Time passed, and the project was put on hold… but this period of reflection allowed the idea to mature. Today, I am grateful to finalize the story I longed to tell, as a tribute to my mother and father, both of whom have left this world. The music is built on a nine-beat rhythm, the final number of a cycle, symbolizing an end before renewal.
